Fady. As a team leader, Fady has been happy to be able to initiate an interest in higher learning among his staff.

This has been his goal all along, to create an atmosphere conducive to creativity and education so that his team and clientele all benefit. From cutting hair in his high school gym through the time that civil war was in his home of Beirut, to his arrival in Canada in 1982, he was entirely self-taught.

After his immigration, he threw himself into any formal education he could find pertaining to hair styling. This led to an interest in business and the opening of his first salon in 1986. In 1997, he relocated to a bigger location, hired ten more stylists, and changed his business strategy. Here he began his association with REDKEN, which became part of his total salon concept. REDKEN is still a big part of Hair Junkie today.

Along with growing his business, Fady has used these years to expand his own knowledge. Studying under the Master Judges of Canada since 1990 he has achieved the rank of a gold judge. This has led him all across Canada to judge, monitor, and mentor competitors and their models. He has brought this learning back to the salon to share with his own staff members.

Besides visiting Canada East to West, Fady has also traveled to Milan, New York, Chicago and farther to enrich his experience and education.

In 2008 Hair Junkie was born with the inspiration being anything and everything hair! Retail has become a big part of our salon as we find you the products you are looking for. Our move to Laurier Avenue West has put us in a busy situation. We are experiencing more people through our doors than ever before and the response has been fantastic!

Helene. While studying French literature in University, Helene could not shake her draw to the fashion world. The result of this was a change of career path for her and the fulfillment of a desire to learn about hair styling.

Along with her travels throughout Europe and the Middle East, Helene has amassed a knowledge of experience and technique in her fifteen years as a stylist.

She has acquired certification in custom hair colouring, cutting and design as well as a hairdressing educators degree.

Helene is one of our team members who has been with us the longest, since the beginning days of Fads.

Rose. Devotion, commitment and desire are the foundation for the artistic genius that makes Rose a master at her craft. Her imagination and perception are a profound combination in creating a personal and complimentary image for her clients.

Rose has the ability facial shapes and fashion preference along with an individual's lifestyle to form personal, modern geometrical designs, beautiful updos and original colors.

Rose is our Bumble and Bumble, product specialist and has just returned from a week of study in their New York office. Adrian's love for life is clearly evident in his welcoming smile and genuine compassion, personal approach and unmistakable fashion sense. He loves the craft and it shows.

Antoinette's "passion for fashion" has been passed on to her through generations. She is a natural having grown up with a family in the hair industry. As a result, Antoinette made her mind up early in life as to her career choice learning first by immersion and then following up with formal training.

Antoinette's quiet elegance, beautiful smile and comforting approach instill confidence and her skills follow up to deliver the goods. Very advanced as a young stylist, Antoinette is well qualified in creative haircutting, shaping and styling. Her dedication to educate herself in color correction, balance and hair harmony, as

Chrystal is a quick study by nature. She is capable of assessing her client's individual needs and preferences delivering brilliant results!

Chrystal had a change of ambition after an injury ended a potential career in dance. She decided to focus on her second passion, fashion. Specifically she wanted to do hair. Within eight years, through hard work and extensive education all over North America, including the islands of Hawaii, she has risen to become a very creative and talented stylist and competition artist. Since joining HairJunkie, she has expanded her education to include extensive product knowledge. Chrystal's dedication is exemplary and has earned her several qualifications. Among them, advanced hair cutting for men and women, color correction, design, and application, bridal and formal updos. One of her latest achievements is certification as an extension system specialist with Great Lengths, one of the North America's leading hair lengthening systems. She is also a fantasy hair designer winning first prize at Suite Styles 2007.

Josée. Don't let her size fool you. When it comes to hair this seemingly tiny lady is huge!

Ten years of experience as a hair stylist and certification as a Redken colorist are only afew of the qualities Josée brings to the salon each day of the week. Josée is the Nioxin educator for Eastern Ontario. Nioxin is a well known and highly respected company specializing in rejuvenating thinning hair. She offers consultations on these y products using very specific diagnostic equipment and is qualified to prescribe the best product for every individual's situation. Jos&ecautee is also a certified "Master Cutter" with the Sebastian Hair Company. She has not rested there though. She continues to educate herself in her chosen art and is always excited to learn something new. Up to any challenge, Josée continually takes classes to learn appropriate color placement and cutting techniques for varying face shapes. She loves to color hair and her talent is proven over and over as her clients return with confidence knowing that when they leave Hair Junkie they will look great and feel fantastic.

Liz. When choosing a career in her early years, Liz knew one thing for sure; she wanted to inspire and create.

Hairstyling has become her medium to do so and she has proven to be one of HairJunkie's most energetic and talented stylists. Liz's passion for hair was ignited while walking by a hair school in her local town and was struck by the work the students on the floor created. She loved the energy of the room, the artistry, the smiles on the faces of clients. A decision was made.

With five years of experience on our cutting floor, many classes completed, and a Redken color certification, Liz now has the education and the skills to support her inspirations. Naj. Mention this man's name to anyone who works or visits here and the first thing you'll see is a smile. Naj's charm and energy, creativity and warmth are disarming but do not be mislead to believe that's all he offers. That is because Naj is also a mass of talent and experience.

His family history is intertwined with the art of creating hairstyles. His mother, uncle, great uncle, and sister all had a part in his early education. This gave him the great advantage of having hands on experience at a very young age.

Naj has continued his education all through his professional career, while pursuing stage work in both the fashion and hair industry.

He has experience as a business owner, and has acted as technical consultant for major product lines including representing Matrix products in the Ottawa Gatineau area.

Pascal is the latest stylist to join our team and brings with him his own unique skills built upon his experiences since the beginning of his career in 1989.

Originally from Aleppo, Syria, Pascal has worked and studied his art throughout Europe and the Middle East. Paris, Milan, Torino, Holland, and Beirut are among the fashionable cities he has travelled to work and learn throughout his career.

He owned his own salons in Syria before coming to Canada two years ago with his wife and two young sons.

An expert with a panel brush, Pascal is a specialist at taming frizzy ethnic hair. His up do techniques have been a learning experience for the rest of our team. As well, he has been a keen to participate in our continuing education programs here at Hair Junkie.
